[The Human Centipede 2:Full Sequence]
Plot:Martin is a mentally disturbed loner who lives with his nagging mother in a bleak London housing project, where loud neighbors and cramped living conditions threaten to plunge this victim of sexual and psychological abuse over the edge. He works the night shift as a security guard in an underground parking garage, where customers and their vehicles come and go as he indulges his obsession with THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) watching the film over and over on the small TV set in his office and meticulously examining the scrapbook he has lovingly filled with memorabilia from the film, including the mouth-to-anus surgery instructions made famous by Dr. Heiter, the mad scientist from Martin's favorite movie.

Pushed to the brink by his harridan mother, haunted by the teasing voices of his abusive and incarcerated father, Martin sets into motion his plan to emulate Heiter's centipede by creating his own version, in a rented warehouse, which he begins to fill with victims, including a loud neighbor, two drunk nightclubbers, a prostitute and a lecherous john, and several more - including Martin's piece de resistance, one of the actresses from THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE).

Except that Martin lacks the surgical skill, medical instruments and operating theater necessary to create a larger centipede in the image of Dr. Heiter's masterpiece. So he makes use of materials at hand: duct tape, staple gun, household tools and a fanboy moxie. What follows is one of the most harrowing and terrifying films ever conceived, featuring a central character that makes FIRST SEQUENCE's Dr. Heiter seem downright cuddly in comparison. THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) is a triumph in biological horror by one of the new masters of the horror film.

Cast:Dieter Laser, Ashlynn Yennie, Akimura Kitamura, Laurence Harvey, Dominic Borelli, Vivien Bridson, Lee Harris, Peter Charlton, Bill Hutchens, Dan Burman, Daniel Jude Gennis, Kandace Caine, Maddi Black, Lucas Hansen, Georgia Goodrick, Emma Lock.

My Thoughts:Clever. But not clever enough.

Review:"The Human Centipede:First Sequence". Was one of 2010's most controversial horror movies. The film, from Director Tom Six. Followed a mad doctor named Dr. Heiter, who kidnaps and stitches together a group of people, to form a twisted mass of humanity known as "The Human Centipede". He was however stopped late in the game by the police. But ultimately, most of the damage was already done. Despite Heiter being shot dead. Now comes the inevitable sequel.

"The Human Centipede:Full Sequence". Six is back behind the camera for part two. That this time follows a man named Martin. He's a weird and strange loner who lives with his mother. And in a London Housing project. He soon sees "The Human Centipede". And a harrowing tale of violence and terror begins! So the big twist here, is that "The Human Centipede:First Sequence"...was just a movie. Six uses the old "movie within a movie" trick. Making what we saw in the previous film. A movie that Martin, this films antagonist...is watching.

The film then gives Martin, who pretty much hates his life, the idea to bring "The Human Centipede" to life. But to do so, he needs some "parts". Thus, he sets out to get them. At that point, the movie strings together a graphic chain of sequences, where Martin goes out and assaults a group of random people. And then stores his tied-up prey inside a warehouse. Being the security guard of his building, gives him the opening to do this. In preparation for his "experiment". He even cleverly manages to set himself up as a driver for Quentin Tarantino. So he can get Ashlynn Yennie to come in for an audition for a movie.

But Martin's real plan is to capture the actress for his own Human Centipede. Yennie plays herself in the film, thus solidifying the narrative that "Full Sequence" is the sequel to "First Sequence" in the terms of art...imitating life. I was not a huge fan of the first movie to be honest. But, compared to part 2. It's gravy! Part 2 is certainly violent, graphic, gory, and powerful. But other than a few scenes (mostly involving Yennie)...it's more kind of vomit-inducing. The character Martin here is a very screwed up individual.

A persona mostly sprung upon him because he was a victim of molestation by his currently imprisoned father. And his mother blames him. And she also cuts herself too. I think in good taste, this movie might've went way overboard. Ok, the first movie went overboard too. But the good Dr. Heiter was atleast a good horror film villain. A mad doctor who had to be stopped. This guy Martin though is just a weirdo. And a degenerate who doesn't really have any cracked method, to his madness.

The film seems to wanna glorify violence and grindhouse styled homicide-cinema. Moreso than it wanted to tell a story, or scare the audience. It kind of just throws away the gloves when compared to part 1. And just lets it all hang out with the sequel. And I never thought I'd be saying that about a movie where a bunch of human beings were stitched together by a crazy doctor. But "Full Sequence" could've done itself a big favor, by just continuing from where "First Sequence" left off. Making that movie a movie, that someone else was watching.

And then having that person (Martin), go off and do this stuff for real. Was not really a cool, or intriguing direction for the story to go. In my opinion. I could think of atleast five better plot arcs. But I digress. By the end of the movie, you're just glad it's over. As pretty much, the film is nothing but Martin getting punked out by people. Only to later sneak attack, and kidnap them. This sort of thing "may", have worked if the character were a troubled teenager or twenty-something.

But not some bald, fat, 45 year old loner who lives with his mom! Granted, the character of Martin is not even served up as a complex character study. Just an extreme weirdo who'd probably be better off if he stitched himself, to his grotesque creation. Again, I thought "The Human Centipede" was just an average horror tale. But the sequel really doesn't do it justice. Sequels should improve on, or shed some new light on their predecessors. Not lock them away in a closet so they can spin a whole new story. That's really not as much "story". As it is a wannabe "Faces Of Death".

And with an ending like the one we get at the conclusion of "Full Sequence". I pity anyone who thinks this franchise can go anywhere useful in a potential third movie. "The Human Centipede:Full Sequence" is a perfect example of what "not" to do with a followup. A blueprint in how "not", to treat your horror movie sequel. It's not a total disaster. But it's close enough!

Positives:The movie within a movie thing was clever at the very beginning. But once the film continues, you really wanna go back and somehow make them not use that twist. As the movies jumping off point for its story.

Negatives:Martin as a character is not interesting or even deliciously wicked and evil. He's just perverted, disgusting, and disappointing. Not a scare to be found in this movie. And the repetitiveness of people being attacked and kidnapped by Martin gets annoying quickly. Overall, it's more like a slap in the face to part 1. Part 2 is.

Overall:One star out of four.
